Swiss Machining Department
Swiss Micromachining Services
The company operates over 40 of the newest, most advanced Swiss style turning machines, which can perform multiple operations on a single machine, including: milling, gun drilling and thread whirling. This equipment holds the tightest tolerances in the industry, and their versatility minimizes or eliminates the need for secondary operations. In addition, we offer Swiss Prototype services in an isolated room adjacent to the Swiss department to provide the necessary expertise and capabilities for complex prototype projects. This assures the most efficient micro machining of any metal, including exotic and hard-to-machine metals.

Norman Noble’s knowledge in all types of Electrical Discharge Machining has become the field standard for exceptional quality and expedient turnaround. Electrical Discharge Machining provides exceptional accuracy and repeatability. Norman Noble, Inc. uses wire EDM and conventional EDM as single machining processes on parts where dimensions and tolerance are crucial. But EDM is also used as a secondary process to finish pre-machined pieces to exact dimensions. Experts at determining the most efficient use of EDM and other machining methods (if appropriate) for your projects. "When Do You Need Electrical Discharge Machining?" will help you determine when to EDM by Geometry and when to EDM by material. The latest technologies in EDM processes provide high quality and quick turn around at low cost.

As a single source contract manufacturer of Nitinol based products, we have the capability to handle laser machining, shape setting, and electropolishing of super elastic and shape-memory Nitinol. Our shape setting of Nitinol, DSC testing, and SEM analysis provide unique capabilities to manufacture Nitinol products for the medical device industry.

Norman Noble’s advanced prototype machining services use dedicated equipment located in independent prototype departments. This enables our prototype machining technologies to be isolated from the production manufacturing areas. Our experienced team of engineers work within our prototype departments to develop and validate the most efficient manufacturing processes required to machine your products to exact drawing specifications for either short runs or to prepare for full production.

Norman Noble’s range of capabilities continues with high-speed vertical milling, electrochemical grinding, waterjet cutting, electropolishing, automated microtube flushing, and various metal finishing processes. Please visit our Capabilities page for a full list of services.
